How To Resolve Writers Block With Hypnosis
Writers block is not usually due to a lack of writing skills. So much goes on in the mind that affects us and gets in the way. The mind is a powerful tool and we need to make sure it is supporting us with inspiration, calm and peace. People write books to teach, share their experience or gifts. When you feel a lot or pressure you can get stuck in the mind which stops the flow of writing.
There are many reasons writers block or lack of creativity occur. Many of us have experienced sitting in front of a blank screen, waiting for inspiration to come. Self doubt, stress, anxiety and fear of success can get in the way. Some people are spent and need to get the spark back. Lack of time, negative thoughts and worry can break the flow or block the creativity. Even where you write can create anxiety and stress that distracts you from your focus.
What is it like to experience writer’s block?
When the creativity is blocked it can feel as if you are paralyzed. You can even think of an idea or what to write. It is like the mind goes blank. Pressure, stress, and anxiety make it worse. Hypnosis can be the solution to clear your mind and open up to the creativity again.
3 Ways to help with writers or creative block:
Write in a new environment. Try to write outside or in the library and see if that makes a different. When I wrote my book a friend of mine lent me her lake house. I found it helpful to get away. Walking in nature and by the lake helped me to clear my mind so that beautiful words came out of me.
Be aware of your thoughts and create a non judgmental mindset when you write. Often times people think the content has to be a perfect draft. That can actually stop the flow. Let the words and thoughts flow from you. Let go of thoughts about grammar. Write in the moment letting everything flow out of you. You can edit it afterwards.
Try Self-hypnosis. It creates a meditative state that helps you clear your mind. Hypnosis is a natural relaxed state. Self-hypnosis allows you to move past the thoughts in the mind so you have clarity and focus. Then you can create a positive and loving mind that supports writing. If you want to dig even deeper for the blocks then try hypnotherapy. Hypnotherapy helps you look within to understand and release any fears or blocks that are getting in the way so the path is clear to finish your book.
Remind yourself that writers block is temporary and that you can change the thoughts and reduce anxiety and stress so you write. The next time you feel a block take a deep breath and release negative feelings on the exhale. Repeat this until you feel calmer and lighter. Try this technique before you write. You will be amazed at how much easier the creativity flows out of you so you become the author you always wanted to be.
